The luxury cruise line Windstar Cruises has chosen the Port of Malaga as a stopover on their new Mediterranean itineraries planned for next year. Thus, the shipping company is planning eight stops in Malaga facilities in 2013.

The vessels Wind Spirit, Wind Star and Wind Surf, which make up the fleet of this company, will make eight scales between April and November next year.

The luxury shipping company is expanding its range of scales in the Mediterranean, including the Port of Malaga, where are programmed six scales for 2012; next year the entire fleet will visit the capital of the Costa del Sol.

The fleet of luxury sailing boats have a capacity of between 150 and 300 passengers and are considered equivalent to a 4 star Hotel. The cruise terminal has been renovated recently and is within walking distance of the historic centre of Malaga.
