Folklore in Malaga: The Verdiales on December 28th

The Verdiales festivity is a manifestation of popular culture of Malaga and is considered the oldest living folklore of Europe. This song and dance of peasant origin has the same instrumentation, customs and rituals since many centuries, a legacy from father to son, where are mixing the spiritual and joyful Mediterranean culture. The Verdiales day is Dec. 28 and is celebrated in many towns and villages of Malaga. Who wants to see the Verdiales in Malaga city, you can go to the fairgrounds of Puerto de la Torre.
